AI Developer (Permanent)

About the Role

Scriptover is an AI platform helping veterinarians automate documentation, improve diagnostics, and streamline clinical workflows. We’re looking for a highly skilled AI Developer who lives and breathes large language models and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). You’ll design, implement, and optimize AI-driven solutions that combine reasoning, real-time processing, and precision — using the latest from OpenAI, Gemini, Groq, and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement hybrid AI systems that combine LLMs, RAG pipelines, and domain-specific datasets for accuracy and speed.
• Develop scalable inference and retrieval workflows for real-time applications using Node.js and JavaScript.
• Integrate APIs and SDKs from multiple LLM providers (OpenAI, Gemini, Groq, Anthropic, Mistral, etc.) to deliver optimal results.
• Continuously benchmark and fine-tune models for latency, accuracy, and contextual understanding.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to deploy efficient, production-ready AI solutions.
• Experiment with vector databases, embeddings, and custom retrieval strategies to improve answer precision.
• Stay on top of cutting-edge advancements in AI, multimodal reasoning, and LLM architectures.

Requirements

• Strong coding ability in Node.js and JavaScript — able to build, debug, and optimize AI-powered applications.
• Proficiency in Python is a plus for model experimentation and quick prototyping.
• Deep understanding of large language models (LLMs), RAG, embeddings, and fine-tuning pipelines.
• Experience integrating APIs from providers such as OpenAI, Gemini, Groq, Anthropic, and others.
• Ability to design hybrid AI architectures that combine reasoning, retrieval, and structured data for real-time applications.
• Knowledge of vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, OpenSearch, FAISS) and experience building fast retrieval layers.
• Understanding of latency optimization, tokenization, and prompt engineering best practices.
• Curiosity-driven mindset with a passion for experimentation and rapid iteration.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills — capable of balancing innovation with production reliability.
